ESC sequences for correct tray pull

The sequence < 27>&l#H has the disadvantage that if all papertrays have the same paper became course-wise (mostly normal) that the printer pulls then simply the paper from the next tray, if one tray runs of of paper.

In order to avoid this and provide more flexibility to department-wide printing just do the following:

Each department can equip the trays of the HP printers for itself with different paper types. In the PAPER handling menu one of the available paper types is assigned to each type of paper. It's possible to assign the same paper type to more than one tray. In this case all trays will be emptied and then, the printer stops and does not go not on another tray with different paper.

Select the proper tray using the above sequence, Be careful, becuase there might be differences between  the individual printers, or better, with the sequence to select the type of paper:

<27>&n5WdBond = Bond
<27>&n6WdPlain = Plain
<27>&n6WdColor = Color
<27>&n6WdRough = Rough

<27>&n11WdLetterhead = Letterhead
<27>&n11WdPrepunched = Prepunched
