Flash-DIMM, Flash-SIMM or FlashBox: memory for fonts,  e-forms, Logos, etc. (optional incl. Jetmobile BarDIMM or BarSIMM)

So called 'non volatile' memory (e.g. Flash-DIMM, Flash-SIMM or harddisk) are used for permanent storage of fonts, e-forms (macros), logos and signatures inside HP printers, in one word for the complete corporate identity (CI). Opposite to common printer memory the 'non volatile' memory has the benefit that its contents still available after switching of or resetting the printer.

Administration of flash memory

Programming the moduls happens by using the common data stream. Benefit: It is possible to reprogram during operation. The flash DIMM or SIMM can be programmed as often as you want it to be.

To administrate your forms and fonts on a Flash-SIMM, Flash-DIMM or printer harddisk you get a comfortable Windows-application: The Forms and Font Manager (contained in the scope of supply of a stethos flash memory solution). Via passwords you are able to protect your data from deleting or overwriting. Effective data compressing algorithms raise the memory capacity significant. Therefore scanned TIFF-, BMP- and PCX-files will be changed automatically to macros for creating logos and signatures.

ELP flash-memory

For certain printers it's possible to use a ELP (enhanced LaserJet printing) flash with the following enhancements:

• transmit once your printjob
• automatically as many copies as needed on different (coloured) paper, out of different trays. Maximum of 10 input trays with the TowerFeed, varies according to the printer model.
• copies can be printed to different output bins (max. of 9 bins with the HP multi-bin mailbox, varies according to the printer model).
• adding preprints, logos and watermarks to your documents and copies.
